The Gungans on the other hand are amphibians who live in large underwater cities. The greedy Trade Federation, led by Nute Gunray, blockaded the planet and then invaded, 32 BBY. The current queen at the time, Padmé Amidala, escaped to Coruscant and tried to convince the senate to do something about it. When nothing was happening, the queen went back to Naboo and, with the help of the Gungans and their Grand Grmy, took back the planet.
