In the last inning, Gus, Richie, and Clark all manage to get on base with the score tied, so Howie has to be go up to bat. He is terrified at first, but the crowd starts cheering for him, and he gains confidence. Carlos then beans Howie in the shoulder, and Howie acts like he has had his arm shot off. But, this allows the Benchwarmers to get into the final round of the tournament.
