The red-breasted nuthatch is a cute hardy bird that can be attracted by suet and sunflower seeds. The white-breasted nuthatch is a larger blue and white bird. It can be attracted by the same things as the red-breasted nuthatch.

There are advantages and disadvantages to each method. Urine testing is the easiest and cheapest, but it is very inaccurate, relies on keeping the cat's BG at a dangerously high level and cannot detect some serious problems. Curves done by a vet are very expensive and often useless. The readings themselves are very accurate, but many cats are stressed by vet visits. Stress increases BGs dramatically, so what happens at the vet may not represent what happens on a normal day at home. Home testing with a glucometer (which you can get an any pharmacy) is probably the best option for most people. Since the glucometers are made for humans they are not entirely accurate - the cat's BG will be somewhat higher than the meter shows. However, the trends - whether BGs are going up or down - are accurate, and even though the readings are a bit low they're usually better than the readings you'd get from a stressed cat at the vet's.

The Icelandic Horse is an average of 13.2 hands, but it has one of the most unusual horse gaits-the tolt. The tolt is a four beat, lateral gait that always has one foot on the ground. It's said to be similar to the running walk of the Tennessee Walking Horse. With the flying pace, the Icelandic Horse can reach speeds of 30 miles per hour.

This facial marking is most common on paints, sometimes giving them blue eyes where the white would be located.

The balb-C is a small pink eyed white mouse which is bred in laboratories for experiments. However, the prolific breeder, the Qakenbush, is the commonly used laboratory mouse. Genetically engineered to produce up to 26 babies per litter, they grow to approximately twice the normal size of domestic pet mice. The strain can be successfully incorporated into pet mouse colonies and succeeding litters for several generations will be consistantly larger. However as the strain dilutes, the litters will reduce to normal numbers. The size of the mice from the strain will be much larger than normal. The PEW is a pink eyed albino mouse of the pet offshoot of the laboratory mouse, and the banded is a pet mouse which has been pattern-bred to have a white band right around it's stomach.

A BYB is someone who breeds dogs without regard for genetic testing, screening of the new homes, improving the breed, etc. Often these are people who breed for cash, or to 'show the kids the miracle of life'.
